Quality and lab

An in-house lab, not outsourced testing

The laboratory equipment has been purchased and commissioning will be completed within the next year. Every batch will be tested in this lab.

Outsourced testing means days between producing a batch and knowing its result. An in-house lab means that if a batch is out of range, it is known the same day and never reaches packing.

Tests

Viscosity · The viscosity profile determines how the starch behaves under your thermal and shear process.

Moisture · Directly affects shelf life and the net weight of the shipment.

pH · Out of range means the modification reaction was not fully neutralised.

Particle size · Governs hydration rate and how evenly it disperses in your formulation.

Degree of substitution · Measures how far the chemical modification has gone; its ceiling is set by the additive standard.

Ash and impurities · The boundary between staying inside the food additive standard and falling outside it.

All permits are in progress. Until they are issued, no mark or logo appears on this site: not labelled “in progress”, not faded, not in the footer. When one is issued we publish its number alongside it so you can verify it yourself.
