E1401
Acid-treated starch
What this grade is
Base starch is hydrolysed with inorganic acid, shortening the chains. The result is a very low hot viscosity, so it can be pumped and deposited at high solids, yet it sets to a firm, clean-cutting gel on cooling.
What it solves
Cooker viscosity too high to pump and deposit
A soft, shapeless gel after cooling
Long drying time in the starch mogul
Common applications
Gums and jellies
Turkish delight and deposited jellies
Jelly centres and fillings
Technical data
The technical data sheet for this grade is published after production and batch testing. Until then we publish no figures here; a number with no test behind it comes back at the customer’s first audit. If you already have the range you need, send it to us.
